Confession Time
I am posting the first of what I hope will be many recipes and life hacks today, however, I have a few confessions to make first. Remember "Words have power", if you catch me saying "but" in a sentence, it is intentional because what that word means is "forget everything I just said because this is what I mean" Just think has anyone ever said "I love you but" and it ended well... not for me. 😆 I also generally do not say "TRY", because Yoda is right: My confession is that I am a cook... not a baker. Meaning I don't necessarily follow recipes to the letter; I am 54 years old and I have been cooking since I was 8 years old hahaha. I have a theory that many bakers can't cook (just meaning they don't play around with the recipes to make it their own) and most cooks can't bake. I fall in the latter category, I am forever changing something. However, no matter how much I love to cook (especially when the grandkids are around) it's something I do not get to enjoy very often due to my health.
Plea for Leniency
With the confession out of the way I also have the explanation, I have heard that the difference between an excuse and an explanation is responsibility. Well, while I might not be responsible for HOW I got sick I am responsible for how I feel day-to-day. Most days I simply am unable to cook. I have however found chopped onions in the frozen food section as well as many other food items: angel hair cabbage, shredded lettuce, etc. Yes, naturally I have developed an Essential Tremor in my hands so having a knife in them isn't always the best idea 😆. I will post recipes and will do my best to actually make them and test them out for you. I am also looking at some other blogging sites that seem pretty great however, I want to make sure I don't lose you too. I will also post recipes that I have attempted to make and, for whatever reason, did not turn out the right way and I believe it was user (ME)not due to the recipe. I will vet the recipes, if I am unable to make them, to ensure many people have made them and enjoyed them. I hope this will satisfy any questions. Additionally, I would love to hear back from you about any recipes you have tried and think should be shared. I also have some Life Hacks that I will be sharing with you. Being chronically ill for nearly two decades whilst being single will ensure you learn some life hacks.
